Nurse Posts Crying TikTok After Patient Dies, Slammed For ‘Exploiting’

“I put my armor on, show you how strong I am.”

A nurse has been criticized heavily for making a TikTok about her patient. In a now-deleted viral clip, TikTok user olivia_tylerr33 shared that she’s just lost a patient and captioned the moment, “It never gets easier.”

The nurse paced around the hallway with her phone propped up ideally at the perfect angle to capture the sad moment as she leaned on the wall to try and take a breather.

While the original clip and account have been deleted, the video has been reshared and duet a few times with criticisms. One of them, nikki, captioned it, “aw man can’t believe my patient died let me go make a tiktok rq.”

Nikki agrees with reminding people that medical workers often struggle with grief, “And don’t get me wrong, I understand raising awareness on the difficulties of being a healthcare professional.”

However, this isn’t the right way as she continued, “But this feels like a patient was just exploited for likes and views. There are other ways to share experiences, this way was not tasteful.”

Many viewers have chimed in to share their personal experiences and views. One wrote, “My mom was a nurse for 35 yrs… Her patients dying did hit her hard sometimes but I don’t think she would make a TikTok about it.”

“Is my grief in frame?” commented another.

Another registered nurse shared, “Not a single nurse does this ever. We have several patients to care for and when we’re dealing with patient A, we’re thinking about patient B and C. No time for this and quite frankly you get very hardened to death. This is attention seeking 101.”

Bewildered TikTok users just couldn’t hide their confusion as they duet the video.

But the best part was probably this was likely a rehashed scene as she’s made more videos about it in the past.
