Mom Refused Paying Babysitter Because She Got Free Ice Cream And Day Of Fun

Parenting can be quite a tough task. But using the same means as an excuse to extort people of their hard work and earned money is honestly not a fair one.

Recently, VortexThing – who is a Reddit user shared an unimaginable text exchange between his own sister and a mother she babysat for. You would have to read through yourself in order to believe it.

VortexThing wrote on BoredPanda: ‘My sister’s name is Kristen. She had never met with the women before, but my sister has her personal babysitting website in our town, so that was exactly how the woman contacted her.

Before the furious incident, my sister had described the woman as being respectful, which made it even weirder for the same woman to have turned around to scheme her.’

Close friends and family recommended a small claims court, which would help in small legal dealing but after speaking with my sister, we agreed it was going to be a last-case resort.

Then, we agreed to call the husband on his personal phone, although it took us a few tries to get through to him. Ultimately, the conversation ended with something to the effect of  ‘Ok, I’ll talk to her about it.’

‘Ignoring us afterward, I and my sister decided to send him the following text message’

‘Mr. (Name), we know you’re reading our messages. We have consistently tried to reason and work with you and it’s sincerely quite laughable that you are also refusing to pay.

Well, after our consultation with friends, we have agreed we’ll be using a Small Claims Court if you don’t return us the $128 you rightfully owe us in cash.

You’ll be going through a legal fee as well as a court proceeding which will be costing you more. So, when you and your wife stop acting like children, face the people you owe and probably we might have a reasonable discussion.’

Imagined what happened next? My sister within thirty minutes was unblocked from the mother’s phone and the fee was set to be paid.
