Mom Left Infuriated After Finding Padded Bras Being Sold For Young Girls
Kind of a big NO.
Puberty is hitting younger children lately. Thanks to the more open-minded society we have today, you don’t get beaten up just for saying that you feel uncomfortable about your body. Especially for women, breast growth is something you really need to talk about before you get hurt. Of course, we want kids to stay kids, but we also want them to feel comfortable being adults later on.
Not meaning to scare, but there are people out there whose nipples bled because they wore uncomfortable shirts. No doubt, padded bras sounded like great ways to avoid painful experiences like this.
However, one mom is enraged to see bras being sold for children as young as 6 years old!
There are training bras sold meant for young children to get them used to wear bigger bras as they grow up. These bras typically have linings for support, but it was never heard they’d come with paddings… which does nothing but sexualizing one’s appearance!
The paddings are, fortunately, removable. But to even think of adding pads for kids’ training bras… what exactly are they for?
In a fit of rage, this mom shared the shocking news, snapping a picture of ‘6-6X’ on the tag. But it appears that some people have differing opinions, such as that this might not have been for a six-year-old.
Could this have meant it is a size 6 instead of for a six-year-old?
One mom explained in the reply section, “That’s the size and age. Ages size little girls’ clothes. These are a little girls’ size 6-6X. Most little girls who wear that size are between the ages of 4 and 7 years old.”
Another chimed in, “My 8-year-old still wears s small/6/6x, and my 10-year-olds are more in the 14-16 size. But my 6x kid nowhere near needs a bra.”
One protested, “I don’t care if you’re 6 or 8 or 10, you still don’t need a padded bra! Like, the age doesn’t matter. Let’s stop sexualizing children.”
Another shared, “Wait until you find the push-up bras. I nearly lost my mind trying to find decent bras for the kids.”
