Mom Bravely Tackles Guy Peeking Into Her Daughter’s Bedroom Window

It’s normal for mothers to feel the urge to want to protect their children by all means. This isn’t a habit of being overprotective, but rather it naturally spikes due to mom’s unconditional love. Just recently, a mom garnered the heart of internet users as she wrestled a man who was peeping into the bedroom window of her teenage daughter.

The dramatic clip captured Phyllis Pena on camera as she tightly grabbed Zane Hawkins, 19. Pena explained she had returned home from the store around 7 a.m. when she spotted Hawkins in her yard. He was allegedly peeping into her 15-Year-Old daughter’s bedroom window.

Just when Hawkins spotted Pena, he reportedly attempted fleeing the scene, but luckily he was held down until officers arrived at the scene. Speaking to KPRC, the mom revealed that her first instinct was to ensure he didn’t go any further, adding that her kids’ lives are precious; hence she will do anything to protect them.

When Hawkins spotted Pena, he reportedly attempted fleeing the scene

‘The cop fist-bumped me, and he was like, ‘Hey, so I heard the Texans are looking for a new linebacker.’ Pena explained. However, the clip of the incident has since been shared on Pena’s Facebook page, which she captioned: ‘The video everyone has been waiting for. My next step is to try out for the NFL.’

Likewise, according to a press statement from the Lake Jackson Police Department, Hawkins has been taken into custody after being tackled by Pena. He got arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and evading arrest.
