Miley Cyrus At 30 Speaks Of Her Mission To Empower Women

“I’m not a great listener sometimes.”

Miley Cyrus has turned 30. The singer has gone quite a long way since she was in Disney as Hannah Montana. She’s among one of the most successful female artists of all time and speaking to Forbes, she shares how she now wants to be able to empower fellow women.

“I always say that my truth and the opposite of what that is is also true. Somehow, I’m completely different, and then somehow, I’m exactly the same,” she spoke in the interview. “Now, in my 30s — I mean, my 20s were so much fun. If you don’t believe me, I think you can google it.”

Bidding 2022 goodbye, the singer shared her resolution for 2023, “I’m not a great listener sometimes.”

“Dolly was telling me, her husband [Carl Thomas Dean] says, ‘You’re not hard of hearing. You’re hard of listening.’ And I guess that would kind of be my resolution, to not just listen to myself, but listen to others,” she shared with Hoda Kotb.

And now at 30, she’s feeling a little different and has felt the changes time made to her. But at the same time, she’s still embracing the same value and personality she had on the day she decided to get some music lessons.

She joked about the “Wrecking Ball” headline-maker song before noting with a summary that her 20s were “so much fun.”

Miley celebrated the New Year with Dolly Parton at her New Year’s Eve party. She decided to be blonde as her godmother convinced her not to be brunette. And she was very hopeful for 2023, “I love new beginnings.”

“It can happen any time you want and once you accept that New Year’s is an idea, you can put that philosophy anywhere you want. It’s an exciting time.”
