TikToker Mikayla Nogueira Talked ABout Recent Backlash Following A Resurfaced Video
“I’m gonna get treatment. I’m going get help because my depression is just not good.”
Beauty TikToker, Mikayla Nogueira has announced she’ll take a break from social media following a recent backlash over her past comments about influencers. She made it publicly known that the decision of a break wasn’t entirely related to what happened but that her mental health had been deteriorating for several months.
Earlier this week, a video of Mikayla from 2021 resurfaced, and her comments were perceived as insensitive.
The influencer had said: “I literally just finished work, and it’s 5:19. Try being an influencer for a day. Try it.” Addressing the mentioned above, Mikayla, in her new TikTok, claimed it was a response to somewhat of a hateful comment telling her to ‘Get a real job, try working a 9-5” and that it had been filmed after she left her job at Ulta to pursue a career as an influencer.
She added: “Emotions were running high. Unfortunately, I was having a shit day, and I made a video absolutely shouldn’t have made.”
In the resurfaced clip, Mikayla highlighted that she gets up at 6 a.m. every day, spends about five to six hours filming video content ranging from three to four videos, and then a few hours editing the video content. She pointed out that she’s often engaged in meetings from twelve to five, works on her social media profiles, whatever it may be, and it’s f**king marketing.

“I regret making it [referencing the video]. There’s a reason, a year and a half ago, I deleted that video and I apologized because it was wrong of me.”
Mikayla stated that her comments in the resurfaced video were taken out of context. “It broke my f**king heart that people made it seem like I think I work harder than everyone else. That’s an absolutely fucking bullshit lie. Absolutely not. Do I think this job is taxing on me? Absolutely. But I’m f**king mentally ill, bro.”
“This job comes with an extreme amount of f**king privilege and blessings. It’s a f**king sick a** job.”
The influencer further spoke of her comments on Jaclyn Hill’s posts, including one where she wrote, “Must be nice to be rich and all you do is film videos for YouTube.” She called it Karma, adding that she had apologized to Jaclyn a few months before. “That’s what those comments were: Pure f**king jealousy. Mean energy,” Mikayla insisted.
At the beginning of her 9-minute clip, the beauty TikToker thanked people for all the support as the internet came in hot.

Of her break from content creation, Mikayla explained: “Unfortunately, my mental health has been deteriorating for several months now. I pushed myself a little too far. I feel like I lost myself. I will absolutely be back. I’m going to go away for a while. I’m gonna get treatment. I’m going get help because my depression is just not good.” She alleged she’s not a very good version of herself right now.
