one of the shootings was streamed on Facebook Live, at last prompting the capture of Ezekiel Kelly as a suspect in the shootings following a rapid pursuit, Memphis Police Boss Cerelyn “C.J.” Davis said during a news briefing

Memphis Shootings: How the shootings unfurled

The first shooting was reported at around 12:56 a.m. in the 3100 block of Lyndale Road. Answering officials found a male casualty in a carport, and he was articulated dead at the scene

At 4:38 p.m., officials answered one more shooting in the 900 block of South Expressway East, where they found a man in his vehicle with various shot injuries. He was articulated dead at the scene

CCTV footage from a close-by business caught the shooter pulling up close to the casualty in a dark car and discharging various shots prior to heading out, Davis said

Minutes after, at 4:40 p.m., officials answered, taking shots at Norris Street and I-240, and found a lady with gunfire twisted to the leg. She was taken to an emergency clinic in non-basic condition. The suspect escaped in a dim-hued vehicle, Davis said

Over an hour after the fact, at 5:59 p.m., officials responded to a shooting at a store on the 4000 block of Jackson Road. “Ezekiel Kelly was on Facebook Live when he started shooting inside the store,” Davis said.

Responding officers found a male with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

A short time later, at 6:12 p.m., police received a call from a concerned citizen that someone with the name “Zeek Huncho” was live on Facebook saying he was “threatening to cause harm to citizens,” Davis said.

The Memphis Police Office then sent off a citywide quest for an “armed and dangerous” suspect, approaching a few occupants to protect set up

Another shooting was reported at 7:23 p.m. in the area of Poplar Avenue and North Evergreen, where a woman had been shot and killed. The gunman fled the scene with the victim’s vehicle, a gray SUV, Davis said.

A minute later, officers responded to another shooting on Poplar Avenue and found a man who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital in non-critical condition, Davis said.

Then, at that point, at 8:55 p.m., officials answered the 800 block of West Raines Street where a lady with shot injuries was articulated dead, as indicated by Davis

After a while, at 8:56 p.m., the Southaven, Mississippi, police division responded to the area of Stateline Street and Thruway 51 in regards to a carjacking, Davis said. Police said Kelly carjacked a casualty at gunpoint, taking a dim Evade Challenger, abandoning the dark SUV. The casualty was unharmed. Southhaven is right across the state line from Memphis.

After two minutes at 8:58 p.m., Memphis police recognized the Kelly on I-55 and a rapid pursuit resulted

The pursuit reached an end and Kelly was arrested without the occurrence

Memphis City chairman Jim Strickland communicated resentment regarding the spate of viciousness in Thursday morning’s news meeting as he gave his sympathies to the casualties’ families
