Meghan Markle ‘Snubbed’ By Mourner As She Greets People Following Queen’s Death
The mourner ignored Meghan Markle’s gaze and handshake.
Meghan Markle, alongside other royals, recently walked the gates of Windsor Castle to greet people mourning the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. In a video that captured the moment, the Duchess of Sussex got awkwardly snubbed as she attempted to shake hands with the public.
The incident seems like some people aren’t willing to accept Meghan for whatever reason.

As she wandered around shaking hands with people, Meghan, as per Ladbible, arrived at the front of a mourner who dropped her head, appearing to ignore her gaze and handshake. The mourner was then seen raising their head, sharing a knowing appearance, laughing, and shaking heads with the person next to them.

Some people were also seen withdrawing their hands and wearing sunglasses to avoid making eye contact with her.

Meghan and Prince Harry had publicly quit their royal duties, but with the death of Her Majesty, they’ve returned briefly to the fold and joined Prince William, the new Prince of Wales, and his wife Kate Middleton outside Windsor Castle to meet the public who had turned out to show their sympathies for the royals.
Meghan might overlook the snubs as she had given a few interviews in which she shared incidences of being maltreated.

The mistreatment of Meghan has since gone down well with monarchists online, as one person tweeted: “Lady in the blue having none of it.” Another said: “Who is this woman? I wanna buy her a pint.” While a third alleged: “This is so brilliantly British. I want to give a big hug to those ladies who were no eye contact, no warmth towards her, nothing. Blank and move one! Well done.”

Not everyone was impressed as a fourth wrote: “People refusing to shake her hand are so pathetic.”

A fifth added: “It is funny, the same people who complain about people disrespecting the Queen are loving the disrespect shown here.” However, both Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, will likely be at the front and center of the headlines for longer, especially as preparations for the Queen’s funeral are scheduled for September 19th.

Accordingly, they might have to be present for King Charles III’s eventual coronation when it begins.
