Man Who Nearly Died Reveals What It Is Like On The Other Side
Hill warned there’s no light to go towards.
Kevin Hill’s experience of dying and coming back to life is regarded as both a miracle and peaceful. His heart had suddenly stopped beating while he was being treated for Calciphylaxis in the Derby Royal Hospital. The condition is an uncommon disease where calcium accumulates in small blood vessels of the fat and skin tissues.
Hill’s recovery amazed doctors and he is now called the miracle man.
He has had a heart operation in January 2022 because of a problem with his heart valve, which caused him to retain water in his legs after medication, and after a year in the hospital, he lost 65kg of water weight. Hill then developed calciphylaxis, which causes blood clots and painful skin ulcers, which can then lead to bleeding.
“I had the disease for months. My skin was eating away at me. I had three days where my legs were bleeding out, it just wouldn’t stop,” Hill said of the condition which occurs exclusively in patients with chronic kidney disease.
As per the DailyMail, Hill lost five pints of blood before his heart stopped and he was dead for a few minutes before doctors resuscitated him. “I knew I was bleeding. I knew it was serious. The staff kept coming in and out to stop the bleeding. I knew I had died. I was separate from my body,” the Derbyshire-based said, adding he was watching the NHS staff from the sidelines trying to save him.
Speaking of his experience in the afterlife, Hill claimed he entered a spirit realm where he watched his body deteriorate from the sidelines while warning there’s no light to go towards.
He shared: “I wasn’t looking down at my body, but I was separate from my body. It was like I was in the spirit realm, I was conscious of what was going on but I had so much peace.” Hill continued: “Then I just went to sleep and I woke up, alive and the bleeding had stopped. I knew it wasn’t my time to die. The situation has made me refocus my priorities.”
When Hill came out of the hospital, his family atmosphere reportedly changed dramatically, while claiming: “I have become more resilient. I know I can bounce back.”
Thankfully, the writer has made a near-full recovery and is now back at home with his wife Camille, 52. He shared: “I am in the final stages of recovery. In my right leg, I still have some pain but it is not near the level it used to be, I would cry for hours. My pain level used to be 100 out of 10, but now it has dropped to four. Everyone said I should be dead.”
