Lottery Winner Who Won £10K Monthly For The Next 30 Years Cuts Off Partner From Jackpot

In the National Lottery’s Set for Life draw, Laura Hoyle and Kirk Stevens of Nottingham won a £3.6million split over thirty years. Before the win, 39-Year-Old Stevens had allowed Hoyle, 40 live with him in his £240K three-bedroom house for free, but with an agreement, she would be the one to pay £25 a week for lottery tickets.
The deal paid off for the couple, but sadly, Hoyle has broken up with Stevens & snubbed him from the winnings.
Stevens alleged Hoyle even wants their two dogs and that they had planned to set up a ghost hunting business. He argued he should be given a share of the winnings, but Camelot has said all Lotto wins are paid to an individual, even in a syndicate, and told the Sun that the winning account was that of Hoyle.
The cheque handed to the couple had both names, but the ticket was bought with Hoyle’s account.
Stevens, an engineer, also shared that Hoyle told him they would live the life of Riley if they won, but now she’s gone. “She pulled the plug and took everything. She even wants our two dogs.” In early 2022, Hoyle had said they would visit Disneyland Paris in the summer, but Stevens said she dumped him.
“I didn’t expect her to pay rent; I didn’t ask her for a penny. Instead, she told me she’d by us Lottery tickets,” Stevens said.
He added: “She spent around £25 a week and told me that if we won, we both live it up. Our arrangement was never any more formal, but I didn’t think I needed anything more. Laura was out of work but had money from the sale of her house. She could have paid me rent, but I didn’t want it. I was happy with the arrangements as it was.”
Hoyle had been let go from her job at a logistics firm, sold her Wolverhampton, and moved in with Mr. Stevens.
Stevens had even planned to propose to Hoyle after their lottery dream came true and bought an engagement ring. He shared: “I loved Laura and wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I even talked to her parents and asked them for her hand in marriage. They were over the moon, and I was really excited. I felt Laura was reluctant to commit and that the money was part of the problem.”
However, Stevens had met with Hoyle through a friend in 2018.
