Katy Perry Channels Her Inner Madonna As She Poses In Corset Mini Dress

Katy Perry, born Elizabeth Hudson, celebrated Mother’s Day doing a promo snap for the latest episode of American Idol. It’s the star’s first Mother’s Day celebration, and undeniably she nailed it. The “Roar singer” is a mom to 1year-old daughter Daisy Dove with her fiancé Orlando Bloom.
The pair got engaged in 2019, and it’s alleged they’d planned to get married in Japan in 2020, but plans were put on hold due to the pandemic.
However, Katy took inspiration for her outfit from the Material Girl Star as she posed for the promo snap.
While Madonna’s corsets had tended to sport pointed cups, Katy didn’t follow suit as she wowed in the lavender corset mini dress.
Looking straight into the camera lens, one of her photos showed the full ensemble, while another showed the star’s bold makeup, completed with luscious lashes. She had her long black hair look sleek in a high ponytail, and the corset’s permitted her to show off her numerous tattoos. With glowing skin, Katy sported a baby pink eye shadow and dangling diamond earrings.
Jean-Paul Gaultier designed Madonna’s dress, including the iconic cone brassiere corset. She wore the dress when she performed during her Blond Ambition World Tour at Wembley Stadium in London in 1990.
Both Katy and Orlando seemed as loved up as ever, with the mom-of-one showing a huge flower heart that had been left waiting for her after she finished the show. As she walked over to the adorable gift, Katy could be heard saying: “Oh My God, are you fr*kin kidding me, Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Bloom.” In another sweet post, Katy paid tribute to her mum.
Shortly before American idol aired, she had penned: “Tonight we celebrate our mamas with contestant dedications to their moms.“
She added: “I’m so profoundly grateful for my own mama, Mary, who will be with me tonight @americanidol. Grab your momma or the person you love the most and tune in tonight.” In an update, specifically, as the America Idol aired, the singer didn’t hesitate to share photos of herself posing with fellow judges Lionel Richie including Luke Bryan.
