Julia Fox Says She Dated Kanye West To ‘Distract’ Him From Harassing Kim Kardashian
“I was delusional and thought I could help him,” Julia said in her lengthy TikTok explaining the whirlwind relationship.
The ‘Uncut Gems’ actor has finally opened up on her relationship with Kanye West, whom she dated for less than two months early this year. Julia Fox had a lot to say and her decision to speak was sparked by a comment a TikToker follower left her.
The comment reads: “I just wish you weren’t dating a famously violent misogynist and antisemite.”
Taking to the social media platform, Julia explained she dated the rapper to distract him from harassing Kim Kardashian.
She said: “First of all, the man was being normal me.” Julia added she’s long had a love for the Kardashians because of their ties in the past. “By the time me and him got together, he hadn’t been doing anything out there yet. The only thing he had done was change the name in the song [to] come back to me Kimberly. That was the only thing when we met.”
You’ll agree 2022 is no doubt a pretty wild year for Julia.
The model had attracted tons of attention, including criticisms when she started dating Kanye. Shortly after the news of the affair went viral, Ye expressed his hopes for a reconciliation with his ex-wife, who had filed for divorce from him a year prior.
The plead for Kim to run back to him was weeks before Ye and Julia began dating.
In her TikTok, Julia claimed she wasn’t even initially keen to hook up with a celebrity again and didn’t grant Ye much attention at the start.
She explained: “He was texting me, I wasn’t answering,” revealing that Kanye kept going and going.” “He was like, ‘You have bad text etiquette. And then I was like ‘Oh my God, Kanye’s yelling at me, like, what do I do?” And then, Julia insisted she chose to date Ye to distract him. “I had this thought. Maybe I can get him off of Kim’s case. Maybe I can distract him like just get him to like me.”
She went on: “I will say that month we spent together, he wasn’t on Twitter. He wasn’t on any forms of social media. He didn’t event talk about his relationship.”
Both Julia and Ye, or perhaps as she put it, Juliye made a series of appearances together as a couple. But the pair parted ways around Valentine’s Day, when the rapper, who had been sharing posts about wanting to be back with Kim and their children sent the SKIMs Founder a truckload of red roses to win her over.
Since then, Julia has remained in and out of the spotlight, attaining fans away from Ye.
The model in her video further insisted reports on the timeline of her relationship with Ye were wrong.
Julia added she was actually out as soon as the fashion designer started tweeting about his desire to reunite with Kim. She claimed: “The moment he started tweeting, I was out. The media reported on our relationship a week after it happened or something, so during that week I think you guys thought that we were together, but we weren’t. I’d already been like, ‘Dude I’m not gonna stick around for this shit.”
Julia continued: “And also, I realized pretty quickly he wasn’t gonna take my help. I was like, ‘I wanna help him, I wanna help him.”
“I was delusional, I thought I could help him. Anyway, didn’t work and now we’re here. The actor concluded that despite everything she still respects Kanye. “That being said, really deeply respect the man as an artist. I don’t wanna shit on that, I don’t wanna reduce his whole career to his bad moments, you,” adding “But that being said, I stand with the Jewish community, period.”
Ye had been locked out of Twitter in October following his antisemitic posts about Jews. His account has, however, been unlocked.
