Netflix Viewers Warned Over New Jeffrey Dahmer Series After Some Unable To Finish First Episode
The story of how the society allowed him to get away with everything.
Jeffrey Dahmer was convicted for the murder of 17 boys and men that happened between 1978 to 1991. The serial killer had a 16-year sentence but died in prison after he was beaten to death by an inmate in 1996.
His case shocked the world, as disturbing information about what exactly happened to the victims emerged over time. And all of these are in the dramatization of his and his victims’ stories in a new Netflix series.
One user tweeted out, “The Jeffrey Dahmer series on Netflix is already too disturbing for me tbh.”
Some also shared strong reminders not to glorify his story and to remember that this story is about the victims and how social injustice played a huge part in creating the perfect environment for Dahmer to continue his killings.
The Milwaukee Monster has also been called a cannibal because he actually ate his victims. The sex offender would drug and assault his victims before finally killing them to sully their dead bodies further or experimenting with them, which caused their deaths. One of those experiments was injecting acid into their brain to turn them into “mindless zombie.”
#DahmerNetflix is out, let’s not romanticize Jeffrey Dahmer just because he is played by Evan Peters.

Evan Stars earned the role of the murderer and showed impeccable acting in portraying the madness and awkwardness of the prolific serial killer. The Netflix series “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” dropped on September 21.
One shared after the show dropped, “The truth about Dahmer and how he was able to get away with this is a lot. It’s way too real.”
“I can’t handle this new Jeffrey Dahmer ting man what the f**k is going on, nobody ain’t even died yet, but they’re showing some mad things,” wrote another.
Consider myself a horror film enthusiast. I don't mind gory scenes. But The Dahmer series is different. Turned it off 20 minutes in. It was quite horrifying. I felt very uneasy, idk if it's because I'm a black man. It literally made my skin crawl.

President of Color of Change and the producer share that this documentary is to remind people of the “systemic injustice” that failed the people, pointing out how many of his victims were part of the LGBTQ+ community and POCs, some with disabilities.

Several have also praised how realistic the series was compared to so many movies and series that have been made so far. But that’s also why this has become a stomach-churning series for many.
