Influencer Hits Back At Cruel Troll Who Branded Her ‘Average Overweight Woman’
“There’s no shame in loving who you already are.”
Elloise recently shared a photo of herself rocking a pretty orange bikini on Instagram, and sadly she was met with cruel comments under her post. Among the numerous, one cruel commenter had branded her “an average overweight woman and even urged that if she added a good diet to her lifestyle, it would improve her physique and make her feel better.
“No offence, but you are not gorgeous, you are not a queen, you are an average overweight woman who is working out to loose some weight what is very good,” says the comment.
It added: “If you add a good diet to that, you will improve your physique and feel better with yourself; I’m sure you will be able to do that. I don’t think telling BS to people is a good way to encourage people.” In response, the 24-Year-Old share her thoughts on the cruel remark with her audience, insisting she’s very okay with being an average overweight woman.
Elloise from Sydney, Australia, said she’s privileged enough to be a size 12AUS, meaning she can walk into just about any store and find multiple items of clothing that will perfectly fit her.
She added: “By BMI standards, I am technically obese. Would I put myself in the overweight category, though? Probably not. I don’t deserve to take light away from the very important discussion regarding plus-sized clothing accessibility by classing myself as a disadvantaged group when I am not. As for the rest of that comment, pretty much everything is wrong. It has been years since I’ve worked out to lose weight – I am so vocal about how much I love to exercise for my mental health.”
Elloise claimed she had acknowledged her very real battles with her disordered eating and has been clear she had lots of loose skin from when she was heavier than she’s now, which will never go away naturally.
The influencer continued: “Why does every damn fitness goal/exercise/movement need to be about women losing weight? I am so sick of seeing every female’s life be revolved around losing weight, keeping weight off, and hating their body. I’m here to change that. I spent a long time hating what I saw in the mirror and not having any confidence in myself. We are so damn lucky every day to wake up and be given the opportunity to live – why waste that time punishing the body you were born with?”
She concluded her post is for the women sick of hating their bodies, sick of the damn standards they have to live up to every day, and urged they can love their stretch marks, cellulite, saggy b**bs, and crooked smile.
This comes after Elloise told Daily Star how she lost 30kg in about 1.5years but quickly realized this wasn’t enough. Even though she had hit a healthy weight, she had become addicted to seeing the scales drop, but then she noticed she was sick of looking at her body with disgust and working out because she hated the way she looked in the mirror. Slowly she became more confident and learned to love all of herself, whether physical or other aspects of herself.
