It seems that on PlayStation’s E3 press conferences, we will be missing one more appearance and that is the chairman of SIE Worldwide Studios, Shawn Layden. Sony PlayStation announced his departure earlier on Twitter.
But the departure does not mention any reason and who is next in line to become the chairman of the gaming department.
Shawn Layden was a former CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America and president of it until Sony regions became one in 2018. Layden has been in the company for more than three decades since 1987, serving as vice president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and president of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan along the way.
When major changes were done to Sony’s company structure, Layden was no more the CEO but still “concentrate his focus” on leading Sony’s department in developing games.
