The family of a talented singer, who had the world at her feet has revealed she took her own life because facing 3months of pandemic lockdown felt like 300years to her.

Beth Palmer, aged 17 from Sale in Greater Manchester was a student learning to become a vocal artist and had since grown a reputation as a talented singer.

Her family, however, admitted that Beth became quite obsessed with the current clampdown and was found passed away at her home just days after the country was announced for lockdown as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

Beth’s devastated family equally said there was no indication she was battling with her mental health, other than expressing how frustrated and sad she was about not being able to see her friends.

Beth’s family spoke about this tragedy to warn other parents whose kids might be facing dark moments amid this uncertain period.

‘I had no doubt the lockdown has played a significant part. Now, Beth can finish college and can’t even go see her friends. She had felt as though the three months lockdown is like 300years..’ Mike Palmer, Beth’s father explained.

Beth, a student at Access Creative College, Manchester had undoubtedly gained a reputation as a musician, frequently performing at local pubs.

Mother Helen and Dad Mike are presently struggling to come to terms with the painful exit of their daughter which took place at the end of March.

Since Beth’s death, her latest song recording on Instagram has garnered over 50thousands likes and her family is taking great comfort in realizing that their daughter’s musical legacy lives on.
