Ex-Drug Addict Mom Shares Striking Before & After Pics And Reveals About Recovery
A story of recovery.
There was a time in Demi-Nicole Dunlop’s life when she thinks life isn’t worth it anymore. Her life was completely messed up as heroine and cocaine had a strong grip on her life. She was an addict to Class A drugs for two years, every single day non-stop.
The 27-year-old now can share just how drastic the change was in her life.
The mother-of-two has a very youthful appearance, but people couldn’t recognize when she used to be underweight with scabs on her face. She is currently recovering and is four months clean! The student is engaged and loves posting glam pictures of herself after recovering.
But before all that, she was a junky.
Nicole, who’s from Fochabers, Scotland, hopes that being entirely clean for four months after looking so distraught and messed up can motivate other people. She shared, “It took me a very long time to feel I’m worthy, I’ve done well and feel proud of how far I’ve come. But that’s only because of the incredible support of you all. I’ll forever be grateful for that.”
She explained her reasons for sharing these before and after pictures, “If you’re reading this and you’re in mid-addiction, and you feel you will never get out of that dark, scary, black, horrible daily cycle of addiction, that black hole, then you can.”
“Please, please believe me.”
Nicole describes how her life was just a really long dark tunnel, but she finally found her way out. “It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t a walk in the park, and it most certainly has been far from pleasant,” Nicole encouraged.
“But please be reassured by me that you can, and you will become free of that dark black hole of addiction. I know that feeling of thinking it’s impossible. I’m an example of it being possible. I was absolutely terrified initially of making my story public, as most of you are aware. Still, I’m fortunate in the aspect of having such great support and positive feedback, and so will you.”
Now Nicole continues to receive treatments at the hospital and continue to fight to stay clean. She encourages people to share her journey to recovery and is excited to know if there are people who find it helpful.
A lot of people replied, saying her story is beautiful and how she is so inspirational. They also love how she now smiles a lot and looks so much more beautiful and refreshed!
