Doorbell Footage Captures Two Boys Made A Heartwarming Decision
The selfless act of the two lads on Halloween has left people in tears.
A video from a Ring doorbell camera of Jodie Laithy on Halloween has got the internet talking. It captured the moment two lads dressed up in costume made a heart-warming decision of trick or treating. The boys, who donned ski masks were seen as they approached Jodie’s door and rang the bell.
After a few moments of waiting, the lads noticed a pumpkin bowl by the entrance that was left empty.
The ECHO reported that one of the youngsters picked up the bowl and showed it to the camera while saying “someone has taken them [the sweets]” before placing it back down on the chair it was on. Next, he opened his plastic bag filled with sweets, and the other lad looked at the bowl in confusion.
The boy with the New Look bag generously placed his stash of goodies into the empty pumpkin bowl.
His friend also rummaged through his backpack and pulled out treats too. As the two completed the lovely act of kindness, they turn to the Ring doorbell camera and waved before saying “Happy Halloween.” Jodie shared the lovely moment on Facebook in the hope the boy’s parents would see the video and know just how amazing their children are.
Jodie [pictured with husband and children] alleged the act is the “cutest thing ever” she has ever seen!
The clip has since been shared hundreds of times and has garnered comments, with one writing that it “made her cry.” Another person wrote: “I hope their mums see this and feel so proud! This is the best, what a gorgeous pair of boys.” According to The Mirror, Jodie shared that the kids’ actions were so cute and she hopes their parents see the video and are proud of them.
She added: “Their little wave and happy Halloween was the cutest thing ever.”
Jodie said of the empty pumpkin bowl: “We left a bowl of sweets out for the kids while we were out and because it was empty they put some of their own sweets in it. I didn’t expect that from two young lads, amazing they are.” Many people have commended the two boys for distributing their share of sweets and have also been branded amazing, the same as Jodie.
