Dolce & Gabanna Founder Mocked ‘Cheap’ Kardashians Before Hosting Kourtney’s Wedding

“The most cheap people in the world.”

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s Italian wedding seems to be one big Dolce & Gabbana Ad campaign as the fashion house hosted the event. But while the founders, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, attended the occasion, they quite had their resentment of the TV stars.

In 2018, Gabanna had publicly written: “The most cheap people in the world” in response to a picture of Kendall, Kim, Kylie, and Kris Jenner.

Dolce had equally made controversial comments about IVF treatment and gay parenting. He said: “We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one. No chemical offspring and rented uterus; Life has a natural flow; there are things that should not be changed.” This comment points at  Kim, who had Chicago and Psalm through a surrogate.

And despite Dolce’s statement, Kim didn’t hold back in promoting the brand on her social media, which prompted many of her fans to be disappointed in her.

One Twitter user had written: “Mad disappointed in @KimKardashian for giving Dolce & Gabbana air time on her Instagram story.” The Kardashians have always been fans of the designer brand. For example, Khloe had once named her pet dog Gabbana and Kylie named her dog Dolce. Kim also showed her admiration for the brand in 2019.

In a video [2019], the mom-of-four had also said: “So I come home to these amazing huge Dolce & Gabanna boxes.”

The Kardashians fans had since reacted on their behalf. A fashion watchdog group, Diet Prada, on Instagram at the time hit back at the designer duo for their harsh comments. Many celebrities even boycotted the brand, and one of the company’s executives had to step down. It got to a point where Dolce and Gabanna had to stay low; however, they have since apologized.

Particularly, Dolce shared he has changed his views on IVF treatment and that everyone has the right to choose for themselves.

“I’ve done some soul-searching. I’ve talked to Stefano a lot about this. I’ve realized that my words were inappropriate, and I apologize. They are just kids. I don’t know everything about IVF, but I love it when people are happy. It’s like medicine. Science has been put on the table to help people,” Dolce had stated over their comments about the Kardashians
