Doctor Reveals Heartbreaking Sign Queen Was Close To Death
A doctor shared her opinion on her appearance in her final days.
Buckingham Palace has announced the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Doctor Deb Cohen-Jones, recalled how the Queen looked before her death in the following days.
She referenced one of her latest publicly shared pictures from Scotland.
Pointing to the frail appearance, particularly around her hands, she explained, “It looks like there is possibly evidence of peripheral vascular disease. It’s a blood circulation disorder that causes the blood vessels outside of your heart and brain to narrow, block, or spasm.”
The Perth-based doctor from Western Australia continued, “It can sometimes result in heart failure. If your peripheral circulation is that poor, organs aren’t receiving a good blood supply. It can be a sign of multi-organ failure.”
The picture was taken when she shook the hands of the UK’s new Prime Minister Liz Truss at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
Peripheral vascular disease is a progressive circulation disorder caused by narrowed, blocked blood vessels. The symptom that usually follows is a decrease in mobility as blood is not properly transported to the limbs, And this typically starts with intermittent pain, muscle cramps, “coldness,” numbness, and pins & needles.
She added that the Queen may have suffered from pain as the symptoms looked “quite severe” based on the mottling.
Dr. Deb continued, “The slightly hunched appearance would have been her age and more than likely osteoporosis.”
Buckingham Palace declared the monarch’s death at the age of 96 at 6.30 pm Thursday evening. Queen was seen using a walking stick at Balmoral Castle and was beaming in the pictures on her final audience.
It was the first she was pictured since she arrived at the estate on July 21 for the summer holiday.
Two days before her passing, Buckingham Palace announced on Tuesday, “The Queen received in Audience The Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP today and requested her to form a new Administration. Ms. Truss accepted Her Majesty’s offer and kissed hands upon her appointment as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.”
