Witch sisters, Winifred, Sarah and Mary, are coming back to Disney to disturb people and maybe attempting to suck on more essence. Disney executive who are directly involved in the sequel for ‘Hocus Pocus’ confirmed that a sequel is happening and they are in early stages.
The sequel is schedule for Disney+, the giant company’s streaming service that is placed on par with Netflix. Aside from pulling out their movies and TV shows from Netflix, the company is also uploading their popular remakes such as ‘The Lion King’ and launch Disney+ exclusive remakes like ‘Lady and the Tramp’.
‘Hocus Pocus’ which first aired in 1993 showed the three sisters awakened from their 300-year slumber by bullies. The three of them got into a chase for three humans to drink their essence.
The original writers of ‘Hocus Pocus’ are Mick Garris and Neil Cuthbert and was directed by Kenny Ortega. Garris already hinted of a sequel back in 2017 when speaking to Forbes. “I think there will be a sequel. It might be for Disney Channel or Freeform or ABC,” said Garris.
