‘Company Didn’t Want To Pay Me A Fair Wage And The Day After I Quit, It Cost The Company Around $40 Million’

Always treat your workers like actual human beings, then you won’t have to go through what this company did. An IT worker who toiled so much for a company but was severely underpaid decided to call it quits because he’s not a slave.

But nobody could imagine his act of rebellion (which was a 2-week notice!) would cost the company over $40 million because nobody there understood his desk job. It was karma in its truest sense.

“Company didn’t want to pay me a fair wage, and the day after I quit, it cost the company around $40 Million.”

“TLDR~ My boss/company didn’t want to give me fair and equal pay, so it cost them over $40 million when the system crashed the very night that I left the company.”

Many people wondered why he’d stayed on the job despite the horrible work schedule and low pay. The IT support man explains that he remained for an entire year because he was promised a full-time position and pay that he saw his friend was enjoying.

“Also… there weren’t many other jobs available in that little town; there was a couple of gas stations, a handful of fast food places, bbq place, etc. There was no IT work other than that contract,” the man added. “This was my first contract ever; I didn’t know how it worked and that it was so low.”

However, it worked out for him as the man has got a new job thanks to the experience he has in this place. And he also learned something, “Also growing up in that area… that’s what we’re brainwashed to believe basically from birth: ‘Just work hard you’ll get ahead, you’ll get recognized, you’ll get rich if you just work hard.'”

He added, “This is all a lie, by the way.”

Clearly, he should’ve been given the due respect he deserved instead of being treated like that. The internet approves of what happened to the company.
