China Opens £13.5bn Mega-Airport In Beijing With World’s Biggest Terminal

The Chinese President, Xi Jinping chaired the inauguration of a 2nd International Airport in Beijing with a terminal dubbed as the world’s biggest.
The Beijing Daxing International Airport, developed in less than 5 years for 120 billion yuan, an equivalent of $16.8bilion has a carrying capacity of 72 million passengers in 365 days.

Reportedly, the airline’s 1st commercial flight, the China Southern Airline bound for the Southern Province of Guangdong, on Wednesday. Accordingly, six more flights later took off for Shanghai and various destinations.
