China Is Building A 1,000-Bed Coronavirus Hospital From Scratch In One Week
Over 40 million people face lockdown, public transport and roads closed!
Hundreds of heavy equipment, machines, and a legion of construction workers have been urged to work day and night by the Chinese government to build a six-acre, 1,000-bed coronavirus hospital in seven days.
The emergency facility named The Huoshenshan/Fire God Mountain Hospital is erected in the suburbs of Wuhan, the location of the outbreak recording over 26 death, 950 infected individuals and the origin of spread to nine other regions and countries.

Officials have ordered four construction companies to toil through the Chinese New Year Holiday to build the medical center, scheduled to receive patients on February 3rd.

Video released by the state broadcaster, CCTV revealed lorries carrying building materials lining up the construction sites as well as a bunch of evacuators digging through the soil.
The hospital, according to reports, will contain a number of temporary buildings, but authorities are still contemplating if they would use pre-fabricated materials onsite or wards converted via shipping containers.

While an official blueprint was released on Friday, the emergency construction task has been allocated to four government-run organizations including, Wuhan Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, Wuhan Construction Engineering Group, and Wuhan Hanyan Municipal Construction Group.

Workers are, however, instructed to begin building at 8 p.m on Thursday and as of Friday morning, over 200 heavy-duty vehicles were working non-stop. Speaking to the press, a Spokesperson for China Construction Engineering Group said the firm had told over 500 workers to be on standby.
