Australian Parents Cassie and Husband Took The Family Modem On A Trip when Two Of Their Children Refused Spending Quality Time Together

Cassie’s husband works as a truck driver, meaning he virtually spends all week on the road and returns back home to his family on the weekends. Her daughter also works weekends while Cassie works in retail and expectedly she has to work weekends at times.

‘It’s not often that we are home at the same time. Chris and I thought we would take the children on a day trip to Warrnambool to go to the model train show that was ongoing, most especially as my husband and boy love trains. But things didn’t go as expected. Our 17-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son refused to go on the trip.’ Cassie told Bored Panda.

Cassie added: ‘It’s our 13-year-old son who reluctantly agreed to go with us. So in the end, we took the modem instead and they said Ok.’

Revealing something magical happened on their return, Cassie continued: ‘On our arrival back home, it was evident our 17-year-old daughter got bored and cleaned her room. She also spent time with her younger brother.’

‘However, the reason why I made this post public is to brighten one person’s day. With people experiencing drought, politics, and bushfires crisis, I hope this post is worth it.’
