Apple Unveils New $249 AirPods Pro With Active Noise Cancellation

Apple is releasing a new premium version of the AirPods. Dubbed as AirPods Pro, the wireless earbuds feature active noise cancellation feature as well as custom high dynamic range amplifier. It is listed at $249 and can now be ordered on the website on Apple stores.

The new premium AirPods also feature new designs that include new earbuds. The tips come in three different sizes and promise soft silicone materials that reduce discomfort ear-in headphones give. The dynamic amplifier reduces bass distortion as well as auto-tune low and mid frequencies to fit the ear’s shape.

The AirPods are also water and sweat-resistant, making them a qualified pair to be worn during exercising. They also feature outward-facing mics that detect incoming external noise and cancelling them before they reach your ears.

But when you need to listen to what the others are saying, you can quickly switch to transparency mode. A quick tap on the volume slider from your Control Center has all the options available.

They are also still equipped with ‘Hey, Siri’ command that gives you wireless controls on them. As for their runtime, together with the wireless charging case, you can get up to 24 hours of music or 18 hours of talk time.

On full charge, you can get 4.5 – 5 hours of music and 3.5 hours of talk time. These AirPods Pro only works with Apple device that operates on iOS 13.2, iPad OS 13.2, watchOS 6.1, tvOS 13.2 or macOS Catalina 10.15.1.

Apple also provides free engraving on your AirPods when you order on their website or through Apple Store app.

AirPods Pro will be made available on the 30th of October across stores.
