‘I Ditched My ‘Karen Cut’ And Got 11 Tattoos And 7 Piercings – I’m Unrecognizable Post-Divorce’
“I feel good and I feel like me.”
Mom shares that she’s living her best life yet after ending her marriage and ending her “Karen” phase. Marissa Pool, a 29-year-old mom, revealed how she used to look like one with the typical mommy hairstyle into a completely different person post-divorce.
Pool looks completely different from the time when she was married to her ex-husband. The marriage ended in January 2022.
She shared about her marriage with South West News Service, “I met my ex when I was just 17. I got wrapped up playing a role of what was expected of me as a wife and mother and wasn’t prioritizing how I looked or any aspect of my life.”
She works as a patient care technician in Pennsylvania and at some point in her marriage, she started to rethink about her life.
Marissa had always loved alternative music and dressing up, but she’s always thought she had to fit into the mold of a proper mom.
She continued, “When you get older, you change into a different person and your values and beliefs change. I got wrapped up playing a role of what was expected of me as a wife and mother and wasn’t prioritizing how I looked or any aspect of my life.”
The mom-of-two got rid of her Karen bob and gave herself some piercings. She’s also got 11 tattoos in total, including a “Bring Me the Horizon” band tattoo.
Fans often compliment how she looks like Megan Fox and she reacted to the comments, “I’m not sure I see it myself, but I’ve always admired her and it’s very humbling!”
But things didn’t change instantly. She made the changes one at a time until changing her whole wardrobe.
Marissa said, “I decided if I can feel good about the outside, I can feel good on the inside, too, because I can be real and honest with people and not hide myself out of fear.”
“When you feel good about yourself, only then can you be the best version of yourself.”
“I feel like a completely different person. I’m confident, I feel good and I feel like me.”
The single mom nwo stays with her happy life, her ex-husband still provides support for the children and hang out with them on weekends.
