Victoria Hervey Slams Maura Higgins’ Claims That Designer Scott Henshall Ruin Her Fashion Awards Experience
“What Maura is saying is not true at all. Scott didn’t ignore her.”
In a video shared to Instagram on Dec. 5th, Love Island star, Maura Higgins, told her followers she couldn’t attend the British Fashion Awards because designer Scott Henshall made for her an inappropriate dress, didn’t bring the right shoes and abandoned her in her hotel room for three hours.
In response to the claim, Lady Victoria Hervey has insisted what Maura said is not true and that Scott [pictured right] didn’t ignore her.
The 46-Year-Old told MailOnline: “Maura had her glam team in her room and what I heard is that she liked the dress but Scott’s PR, who was in charge of bringing her shoes, brought her ones she didn’t like. Scott was mad because he didn’t like the ones the PR chose. It’s absolutely not true to say that Scott left Maura for three hours.”
Muara had said she was prepared to mingle with the great and good at the event but pulled out at the last minute.
The Irish TV personality, in her Instagram clip from a hotel room, was seen in a full face of makeup and the dress in question, which she said she had zero control over. “So, guys, everyone is messaging me like, ‘Where are ya and where are the red-carpet pictures? I’ve had a bit of nightmare.”
She added: “Obviously you can see I am fully ready. Glam team are on point as usual. Basically, the dress, the shoes everything wasn’t something I’d wear.”
“I don’t know what to say, it’s like I just feel it’s not appropriate for the Fashion Awards.”
It’s alleged Mura was upset with designer Scott because he left her in favor of Victoria before the event. A source told The Sun: “Scott was dressing Maura, Victoria and model Talulah Eve [pictured below]. Maura’s gown was meant to resemble Paris Hilton’s chainmail dress from 2002. Ultimately, it looked nothing like that it and she wasn’t happy.”
The source revealed Scott was also supposed to arrange a selection of shoes for her to wear, which he didn’t do.
They added: “He left Maura waiting in her room alone for over three hours to go to help dress Victoria.” The reality TV star allegedly also became agitated by Mulberry’s former creative director when he failed to arrange a selection of shoes for her to wear, as previously promised. In his defense, Victoria stressed that Scott is a professional and the weakness is from his PR team.
Victoria concluded: “He [Scott] is a professional and the weakness is unfortunately in his PR team, adding that Muara wanted to have both her makeup and hair team in her room.
Before the event, Maura had shared a selfie to her IG story while getting all glammed up. She held up a piece sign and then revealed that designer Scott was behind her dress. “BFA tonight. First time to have zero control on my outfit. Excited to see what @Scott_henshall has designed for me.”
However, Scott has been hailed King of Red carpet after creating iconic dresses including dressing supermodel Jodie Kidd in a web of lace for the Spider-Man premiere.
