Man Spent Over $70k On Plastic Surgeries To Become ‘Ken Doll’ And Want Even More
A self-proclaimed Ken doll who’s not yet done.
David Kosir has become a viral figure on the internet after his multiple attempts to go under the knife. The 27-year-old has got a nose job, new rows of teeth, and even a hair transplant to perfect his look. He also got a laser freckle removal, a procedure he got after the social media to him about it.
He becomes the self-proclaimed “human Ken doll” after spending all those money on plastic surgeries to gain the fake doll look.
He spoke with Kennedy News, “I do really like the plastic, fake look. I’m going for a human, male Barbie doll look, like Ken — that would be the ultimate aesthetic for me.”
The Australian began his transformation journey in 2019 after dabbling with fillers.
“I started getting lip filler, and then I moved onto doing cheek filler, and then I did jaw and chin filler. I really had no plans originally, but I never really liked my nose, so I always knew I wanted to get that done,” he continued.
His first permanent procedure was in May 2021, when he paid $9,000 for a rhinoplasty procedure, or a nose job, in Melbourne.
He continued, “Everything else has just been discovering it and then going, ‘I’ll give it a shot’ and then just doing it. It’s very impromptu, really.”
Kosir get his discoveries from browsing other people’s pages and following accounts of beautiful people who’ve also taken plastic surgeries, which keep him “inspired” to continue with his plastic surgeries.
He shared, “Honestly, it was scrolling through social media, I was like, ‘these teeth look nice, what are these? Veneers and crowns, what are they?’ and then I looked into that and thought, ‘I should get that done.’”
He paid $17,000 for his top teeth veneers back in July 2021 and got another set for his bottom teeth in Turkey for $5,000. It didn’t take him long to go back to Turkey again for a hair transplant that cost him $9,000 to replace his damaged hair from years of bleaching and coloring.
The human Ken doll also doesn’t hold back when it comes to his skincare routine, splurging around $700 every eight weeks for facials and $2,000 for laser freckle remover every three months. At the time of writing this, he’s spent a total of $68,539 for the last three years on his beauty care and cosmetic procedures.
And it’s not the end: he’s going back to Turkey for another five “intense” facial surgeries that’ll cost him $14,000 more. The procedures include a fox eye lift, eyelid reduction, cheek lift, etc.
He talked about his reasons, “It is a lot of money but you’ve got to spend your money somewhere, so why not do something that makes you happy? I find it worth it. I don’t think there’s too much else I want to do after my next round — I think it will give me a bit more of a permanent aesthetic, which is what I’m going for. But never say never, I could definitely find something else that I want to do.”
And Kosir now also has to plan to correct his fillers that are sagging. He also doesn’t recognize himself from old photos anymore and feels “weird” with “mixed emotions” when he thinks about it. He admitted, “I don’t actually hate how I used to look, I can appreciate both aesthetics that I’ve had.”
“For me, I’ve always just had fun going for a different aesthetic, I get very bored, and I think that’s why I used to dye my hair so much.”
While he doesn’t look as natural now, Kosir said that that was what he was aiming for. He shared his thoughts, “I don’t think I look that crazy, but I guess people think otherwise because I get so many negative comments. It just really shocked me that people can be so negative toward a complete stranger. I’m happy in life, so that’s all I really care about, and I don’t mind the attention, so it is what it is.”
