Emma Watson ‘For All The Witches’ Feels A Lot Like A Hit At J.K. Rowling’s Recent Anti-Trans Rant
“I’m here for all the witches.”
Actress Emma Watson may or may not have thrown a shade at J.K. Rowling, who recently made her anti-trans opinion very well heard on Twitter. The ‘Little Woman’ star was welcoming “all the witches.”
The actress was introduced by Rebel Wilson with a witch joke, “Our next presenter is Emma Watson. She’s proud to call herself a feminist, but we all know she’s a witch.”
With eloquence in her speech and playful eye contact, Emma began her speech, “I’m here for all the witches.”
Many people felt like Watson had done a dig at J.K. Rowling, who just went on a rant on how to define women in her next episode of being an anti-trans.
And she thinks Labour Equalities Shadow Minister Annalise Dods should’ve known how to define a woman with a “dictionary and a backbone.”
Fans couldn’t help but fall for her all over again after her amazing speech on the stage; “all the witches” are reveling.
Many had gone to social media to compliment her for doing what she might have done there.
There is a small number of others who don’t really think too deeply of her words, but we’ll never really know!
Emma Watson was not the only cast of HP that had made it clear they’re not all for J.K. Rowling’s stance when it comes to certain things.
Rupert Grint spoke, “I firmly stand with the trans community and echo the sentiments expressed by many of my peers.”
“Trans women are women. Trans men are men. We should all be entitled to live with love and without judgment.”
The same goes for actor Daniel Radcliffe.
In a piece he wrote for The Trevor Project, the “The Lost City” star made it clear that he doesn’t hold the same view as the author.
“Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I,” Daniel wrote.
