Hooters Waitress Is Called ‘Ungrateful’ For Rolling Her Eyes At $10 Tips As She Made $500 In Just A 4-Hour Shift
Without tips, she makes $2.13 per hour.
Ali recently flaunted her earnings of $521, which she made in tips during an afternoon shift on TikTok, but some commenters are slamming her for appearing to be ungrateful for smaller tips amounts. The Georgia-based seen rolling eyes at small tips has also been accused of being entitled. But then, the Hooters Waitress has insisted: “YES, we r grateful we also work our [b*tts] off!!”
Hooters Waitress Ali shared her tip earnings at a restaurant in Savannah with her audience on TikTok.
Across the video, Ali added: “What we make in 4hrs at HOOTIEZZZ. OK, guys, we’re doing what we make at Hooters in a day, and we just got our first couples of table, so we’re gonna show you that now.” She got some of her coworkers involved and shared the tips they made during a day shift at the restaurant. She told her viewers: “My first table, I got a $50, which was nice; it was a four-top.”
In her video [now-viral], she held up cash and receipts with tips for $10, $15, and even $100.
“My second table, I got $11,” holding up the receipt. “My third table I got $20,” seeming happy about the amount, and then “I got $10 from a really old couple. But whatever.” Ali didn’t seem excited by the $10 as she didn’t share how much the couple spent or what percentage of the bill was $10.

But Ali seemed less thrilled with the smaller tips, including one table that wrote $10.
Ali went on: “My fifth table, I got a $100 bill from a single guy.” Smiling, she said: “My regular just came in, and instead of giving me a tip that I have to declare, he venmo’ed me.” Finally, she held up receipts with a $15 and $19 tip before discussing the last table. However, a $5 brought her total tip for the shift to $521. Some of Ali’s co-workers also shared their earnings. One counted out $294 after working a table of 12 and later added $45 and $60.
‘My third table I got $20,’ seeming happier, ‘and then I got $10 from a really old couple. But, whatever.”
She had shared how one customer often sends $300 directly to her Venmo account.
Another held up a $50 and $30. The video has since captivated viewers, but some drew attention to Ali’s attitude towards lower-tipping tables. One wrote: “Acting like $11 is a bad tip.” Another said: “Not you being ungrateful for $5 or $10.” A third stated: “Imagine that old couple didn’t have much to tip but gave you the $10 thinking it was a big tip and you come here to say “but whatevaa.”
Some of Ali’s coworkers also shared their earnings. One counted out $294 after working a table of $12.
Another coworker held up a $50 bill and $30 she made from a different table.
However, Ali has insisted: “YES, we r grateful we also work our [b*tts] off!!”
As expected, some came to Ali’s defense, pointing out that she isn’t paid a living wage without her tips. On the other hand, some even voiced jealousy of how she makes. One wrote: “Honestly, I’d work at Hooters for the tips like there not that bad.” Another said: “At first, I caught myself judging; then I realized I’m just mega jealous of you!” However, the federal minimum wage for tipped workers in the US is $2.13 an hour.
