‘Date My Daughter’: Mom With Stage 4 Cancer Put Up A Times Square Billboard To Find Her Daughter True Love

An inspiring adventure of a lifetime.

Beth Davis has been battling cancer for nearly two-decade-long. She had been first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, but it wasn’t until June 2020 doctors confirmed her illness had metastasized to Stage IV, spreading to other parts of her body. But so far, the 61-Year-Old isn’t letting her situation define her.

Beth told Insider the illness is just one small part of her and that most cancer patients don’t consider themselves with expiration dates but live lives and to the fullest. And in doing so, the former pharmaceutical rep recently decided to help her 30-Year-Old Daughter Molly find the perfect match.

In December 2021, the duo turned to the Wingman App but claimed what stood out to them was how singles looking for love are recommended by friends and family members, who tell personal stories about them on their profiles. “Molly has been my wingman throughout this,” Beth said of her cancer journey, which started when Molly was 14.

Through her cancer journey, Molly, since when she was aged 14, has been Beth’s wingman.

She added: “From the moment she wakes up in the morning, she’s just lovely and tries to make everyone’s life better, so anyone would be lucky to have her.” Molly, who works in medical sales, also told Insider that sometimes dating profiles feel weird to brag about oneself, but having someone else tell the story about you is more meaningful.

And with the help of Wingman, she put up a billboard in Times Square, advertising her daughter’s single status.

Just after submitting their application, the mom-daughter caught the attention of Wingman CEO, identified as Tina Wilson. And when Beth told Molly about receiving a response via email from the CEO, the duo thought they had been catfished but quickly realized it was the deal after speaking to Wilson.

Interestingly, Wilson offered to put Molly’s Wingman profile on an NYC Times Square Billboard just before New Year’s Eve. In an email to Insider, Wilson said: “I swipe through thousands of profiles weekly as part of my job, and when I came across Beth’s, she instantly stood out to me as someone I wanted to personally help.”

On New Year’s Eve, both Beth and Molly, who are Boston-based, traveled down to see the Ad. According to Beth, just when she got out of the Uber, turned the corner, and looked up, it took her breath away so much, and as she threw her head back, her glasses went flying. Similarly, Molly said the billboard is right near 7th Ave, steps away from where the ball dropped.

Beth thinks her daughter Ad stole the show by sharing some spotlights with popstar Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour Album cover. Currently, the pair are awaiting Wingman to filter requests before Beth gets a chance to look through the applicants. “Poor Olivia, she’s next to you, and you’re outshining her,” Beth said she told Molly when they saw it.

Beth hopes to find someone nice with family values who can provide Molly with a great relationship.

While Beth said she would love to see her daughter married with kids, given time restraints, the ultimate goal is to find someone nice with family values who can provide her with a great relationship. She believes the perfect match is out there, a person that wants to have that special relationship with Molly. It’s finger crossed at this point and so also wish Molly all the best!
