A man was very nervous as he went out for a meal with his girlfriend at the KFC. What seemed like another casual date with the girlfriend was actually a very nerve-wracking moment as the man was preparing to go down on one knee.

They are Hector Mkansi and Nonhlanhla Soldaat, 39 and 30 years old respectively.
The man, in the middle of the meal in the corner of the store, suddenly went down on one knee, a ring in his hand. His girlfriend looked so surprised and her hands were still greasy from the chickens. It was just another day, but all of a sudden, it became an unforgettable moment.
Yet, a journalist decided to ruin it all and shamed the man for proposing at a KFC joint.
But the major brands were fast on their feet – she got ratioed hard with their support.
The couple set a wildfire trend with #KFCProposal as people kept track with their wedding planning.
Mkansi revealed that he had married his wife in a small wedding in 2012, two years after their meeting. But the man believed that his woman deserves better. And they really got their dream wedding on December 31, 2019.
He got the help of the restaurant to set up a surprise for his wife and said, “The team at the restaurant was surprised at the request but they were helpful in creating the big moment. We received our meals and when she looked inside, she found the rings and that’s when I went down on my knee.”
The man got his wife a better ring and described KFC as his wife’s favorite eatery.
