Woman Goes To Planned Parenthood At 21, Shares Her Horrific Experience
Why is affordable healthcare seen as such a terrible thing?
Planned parenthood is a big deal in today’s society, yet it’s barely given attention. It had indeed come a long way since 2014 when the government allocated 40% of its funding to planned parenthood. The major issues to be tackled in healthcare included abortions, which women and people have been fighting hard to improve. The core aim is the prevention of sexual diseases and unwanted pregnancies.
Other services include birth control, sexually transmitted infections, emergency contraception, cervical cancer, LGBT services, and numerous other critical issues. However, the system doesn’t appear to be generous to households and neighborhoods with low-income wages. The story of Autumn Chenal Mizer and her experience at planned parenthood has shed more light on the mentioned above.

Autumn Mizer has highlighted the importance of Planned Parenthood for low-income communities.
Mizer recently went viral after sharing her harrowing experience of being confronted with an angered crowd while visiting a Planned Parenthood center. She had been told there was a high chance that she had late-term cervical cancer. Taking to Facebook, Mizer shared that four years before, when she was 17-Years-Old, she visited Planned Parenthood and had a great experience.
Mizer had visited planned parenthood at the age of 17 when she was broke and couldn’t even afford tampons.
But at 21, when she returned, it was something else. The problem wasn’t the organization but was the anti-abortion protestors stationed outside. “When I was 17, I went to Planned Parenthood. I had no money or insurance. I was living on my own and couldn’t even afford tampons. They gave me a long-lasting birth control that still works today and stopped my period. They didn’t charge me.” Mizer explained.
When she returned at 21, anti-protesters outside screamed she was a murdering b***h and even threw stuff at the building.
She added: “When I was 21, just two months ago, I left UC after being told there was a high chance I had late-term cervical cancer. Every place I tried to go to wanted to charge me up to $1000 for testing. I went to planned parenthood. Being in a bigger city now, they had to escort me in the building while protestors screamed I was a murdering b***h. They threw stuff at the building.”
“The real kicker, this PP didn’t even perform abortions. Because of PP, they were able to find I didn’t have cancer.”
Mizer revealed that she was insulted, shouted at, and had to be buzzed through 4 separate doors because they can’t go a day without getting a shoot or bomb threat. She continued: “The real kicker, this PP didn’t even perform abortions. Because of PP, they were able to find I didn’t have cancer. I had an internal infection that was spreading through my body and would kill me. They didn’t charge me for the test and then took care of 90% of the expenses so I could see the correct doctor and get the medication I needed. They saved my life.”
Planned Parenthood represents affordable, preventative healthcare for personal and private health issues.
Mizer concluded: But planned parenthood is so evil? This is what taxes pay for. Helping women get care when they can’t afford it. It’s always been illegal to pay for abortion with taxes.” As it appears, education is critical. More people need to be informed about the reality of Planned Parenthood rather than making irrational judgments hinged on partisan political affiliations. On the other hand, Planned Parenthood is far more than just abortions; it saves lives!
