UK Couple Broke Records With The Biggest Height Difference Between Them

True love goes beyond just appearance. UK couple James and Chloe Lusted broke records with their love that spans over 2-feet between them, literally. James Lusted is a 33-year-old actor and presenter, married to his wife, Chloe, a 27-year-old teacher from the same hometown.

The two are officially recognized by Guinness World Record for greatest height differential of a married couple.

James is 103 cm, or 3’7″ high, while his wife is 166.1 cm tall, or around 5’5.4″. That’s almost 57 cm of difference between the two of them, which is almost two feet! James admitted, “Being 3 feet 7 is tricky sometimes. But I can do everything you can do, just in a different way.” 

James was born with a rare type of dwarfism called Diastrophic Dysplasia. This hereditary genetic disorder affects the growth and formations of cartilage in the body. The resulting impact is shortened height in people with the disorder. Generally, they can only grow up to 53 inches tall.

James, like everyone else with the condition, can live normal lives as they have normal mental growth. Yet, he was filled with anxiety and did not feel confident about himself.

James said, “I came to a point where I had to say to myself that dwarfism doesn’t own me, I own my dwarfism. I just wanted to be the same as everyone else and live my life in a big way, in a little body.”

Chloe, who admits that her type was always a taller man, doubted what people would think about them. But she fell in love with the man anyway, “I definitely think there is someone out there for everyone. Perhaps not who you would imagine.”

She added, “Our love story has taught us and taught others that you can not judge a book by its cover and to love the person no matter who they are. I don’t think you can choose who you fall in love with.”

They dated for seven months before James popped the question and now they’re a happy family of three!
