Mom Reveals How To Stop Your Kid From Begging For Toys, And It’s Viral

Yes, it’s the secret we all want. Nothing beats the feeling of hearing them calling mom and dad for the first time. But just as fast, you really wished they were babies when you walk down the toy aisle. The holiday season is never easy for parents who can’t go anywhere without hearing the kid says, “I want this.”

This mom found a hack that worked for her since last year.

Kristina shared that she began using this tactic when Hurricane Michael hit her town last year. She was helping out a group to get children needs and Christmas Toys because the church that usually does it for Lucille Moore Elementary was struggling with the aftermath of the devastating CAT 5 hurricane.

The mom-of-three set up an Amazon wishlist with over 500 items and went LIVE on Facebook. Her wishlist was quickly bought and she made another one for a second school. By the end of the charity event, people from all over US had bought them over $45,000 worth of toys from scooters to dolls.

Her two-year-old girl, Emmie, was so curious and wanted to play with everything. While she helped out with organizing, she kept asking and did not understand that the toys were for other kids. Kristina had to think of something to stop her from trying to open every package that arrived. She suggested that Emmie take a picture with what she wants suggesting that she might get one for herself later.

Magically, the logic worked for the girl and she stopped begging! She started taking pictures with the toys still in their packaging and moved on. The elementary kids from the two schools received all their toys and Emmie doesn’t feel neglected. She added that this is better than rejecting their demands outright because they’ll only feel like they are not seen and heard.

On the plus side, mom can get a bunch of adorable pictures of her daughter all smiley and happy without being asked!
