28 Cool Things People Threw Away That Became Treasure For Others
These are awesome finds!
The US has a huge wastage issue, especially on food. About a third of the food supply ends up in the dumpster and many companies would rather throw out completely fine products just because they were outdated or began to yellow. Dumpster diving began as a ‘low-class’ activity for those plagued with poverty. But today, it’s quite an interesting activity where you can find all sorts of things, like a pair of Gucci shoes.
Best part of it? Some are not even secondhand and brand new!
$175 watch with a broken clasp. The watch repair said it wasn’t broken, they just didn’t know how to work the self adjusting clasp.

Tenants in my apartment complex got evicted. Left this in the dumpster. Just needs to be cleaned up a little.

It weighed a million tons, because those pillars are real marble.

Got this side table from the curb. Broken top. 3 hours and €4 worth of rope and glue later…

Wife (me): “Just get in and get it the case might be worth something, plus I have a feeling.” It’s a Mendini MV300.
After a $35 part, 55″ Curved Samsung 4K TV saved from the dumpster works like new!

Found a $400 Carol Brass trumpet.

Got this set from the side of the road with the note: “Free, I’m vegan.”

Got a miniature iJuke music box from the dumpster of an apartment complex.

Easily cleaned the dirt on toe and this $1150 Gucci shoes looks all fine now.

Found six IKEA chairs on the side of the road.

Found a 65″ TV that works perfectly fine with the remote taped to it.

Our first find and we’re both thrilled.

This is a 150-year medical book.

Got an almost 100-year-old ashtray.

Boyfriend found this and I cleaned the leather with vinegar and lineseed oil on the wood.

It’s a 14k handmade gold ring that’s worth about $200 with glass stone. Plus these tiny hands.

Husband and I went for dumpster diving for the first time and it was fun.

This MacBook Pro and iPod both work really fine still, but they were thrown away.

Found two gift cards in the of a local thrift shop and both has $100 in them.

Found a real 14k yellow gold with tanzanite gem in the middle with 23 real diamonds.
