Men can complain, too! It’s so unfortunate that patriarchy and ‘macho’ views harm not just women but men themselves as well. They are often not allowed to show weakness, complaints, and are demanded to be capable in many things compared to women.
When women who take up men-oriented jobs are called independents, men who pick something less ‘manly’ are not ‘alpha’ enough. We absolutely love it when these men share what has been nagging them the most on Reddit, showing us that both genders have something to say about stupid societal standards.

When I do pitch in, the vendors almost act in an “ooooook, don’t worry big guy, leave this to the adults” kind of way. It’s more obvious in some than it is in others, but it’s damn infuriating. It’s extremely frustrating and belittling. My fiancée is aware of it and sticks up for me when necessary.
