20 Incredible Things People Found Accidentally
Random facts you probably have never learned of.
The most interesting findings happen to people who least expect it. Just look at that intact, well-preserved Roman mosaic that was accidentally dugout in a vineyard. In contrast, scholars have been investigating the area for decades with no results. Or that guy who found a 4000-year-old statue in his backyard while digging in his own garden.
Posted in ‘Mildly Interesting,’ people worldwide share mildly interesting things they found and took pictures of them. Mostly antique and pictures or furniture of old times, there are also adorable baby animal encounters you don’t want to miss!
“Group of baby Easter Bunnies I found while walking my dog on Easter Sunday (can for reference).”
“I run down an old dirt road. Trash is dumped there. One day I stopped and found a box of money. All envelopes are from different countries all over the world. Most date from the 1700s-1900s. The oldest is a coin from 1621. I’ve got some from countries that no longer exist. I’m still researching.”
“Hummingbird feather! I had never found one before, thought it was neat.”
It might seem okay to keep cool findings like this. This came as a strict regulation after passenger pigeon was hunted to extinction in September 1914 – literally from billions to none – for their feathers.
