13 Brides Couldn’t Hold Back Their Joy Because They Wore Pocketed Wedding Dresses
The days of pocketless wedding gown are numbered.
Months ago, a Twitter User, Esther Kezia Thorpe shared a photo on Twitter of her friend’s wedding.
Normally, photos are usually shared from such events, but only if something unusual is witnessed, such photos go instantly viral. This time around, a bride’s wedding dress became the main topic of the day. It was sewn with pockets!
Awesome – implying that the bride can pocket her phone, lip gloss and anything else she feels will be needed while walking up the aisle. Certainly, such occurrence blew Esther’s mind as she began a viral thread that just kept going on and on.
Definitely, having a pocket on your wedding dress can be very useful. I just wonder why it took so long for fashion designers to come up with such a simple design. Over time, brides have traditionally carried a small bag for the important items on their special day, and honestly, it can be quite discomforting.
But as the hashtag #weddingdresswithpockets trends, a lot of women decided to share their personal pocket stories as well as posting pictures.
The thread, however, is a warning to wedding dress designer that the days of pocketless wedding gown are numbered. ‘Wedding dresses are often not designed with practicality in the mind. But a wedding is the one day a bride is unlikely to have a handbag handy, thus pockets are very essential than ever for snacks, lipstick and even tissues.’ Esther told Bored Panda.
The ability to appear classic-casual with hands in pockets on your wedding day is very cool and appears incredible.
‘Pockets in women’s clothing has been a growing trend for a number of years, most especially as we become more attached to our mobile phones. So it’s very rare to see women’s clothing with adequate pocket space for an Oyster card, let alone a mobile phone.’ Esther added.
