Woman Showers Once A Week, Says Her Husband Isn’t Bothered By It

TikTok user Reina’s life motto is “living confidently, showering minimally.” It’s a running joke for her, actually, because she’s gone super viral for revealing that she showers only once a week. And people wondered what her husband thinks about it, or even if she has one!

To preface this, Reina explains that she has four main reasons for avoiding the shower as often as the average person.

The main reason is simple: she doesn’t like it.

“But I figured I could try to provide a little more insight into why I don’t like it,” she continued in the video. “Reason one, the time commitment from warming the water up, getting into the shower, doing all of the necessary shower things, to getting out of the shower, to drying, to waiting for my hair to dry.”

The second reason is that she doesn’t like the feeling of wet hair nor does she like the sound of a hairdryer. The third reason was her dry skin issues, such as eczema and dry scalp, which she claimed got better when she stopped hopping into the shower as often.

Reason #4 was to save water and money on products!

Which got people wondering if she has body odor or if her husband is bothered by it. She joked in one video to answer the question, “My whole husband. No, I mean, like does he mind it enough to get the government involved to separate us.”

“I hope not,” she made a doubtful expression.

She’s also clarified with those who think she showers precisely 52 times a week that the math doesn’t work like that. Reina explains that there’s at least once a week when she showers twice. And she also hops into the shower more during the summer. This means she showers roughly 80 times a year.

Some people complimented her for not being too bothered to live life differently. One commented, “Good for you! People in the comments acting like people don’t have sensory issues and stuff, not everyone’s norm is the same.”

Some wondered how she couldn’t just do it and commented, “So you have the time to commit to a whole workout but not a quick 3-5 minute shower? That’s crazy.”

Many were bewildered and curious, asking her various questions, but essentially, many couldn’t relate to her lifestyle at all!
