‘My attitude in the video is appalling. This was obviously a moment where I completely lost control and indeed made hurtful and conflict-ridden comments. I would like to apologize to the Chan family.’ I can imagine the stress and pain they feel at the moment. I was taught to respect people of all races and I will take time to reflect on my actions. I will also work better to understand the inequality so many of those around me face daily.’ Michael’s apology reads.
