Video Shows Thieves Snatch Louis Vuitton Bags At Westchester Mall
The mall is taking additional steps to enhance its security program further.
An awful clip, now viral, has shown a wild theft at Westchester Mall in White Plains where two thieves made off with several Louis Vuitton bags. As seen in the video shared to TikTok by User Mcloud 9, people inside the store, suspected to be employees, attempted to stop the shoplifters as the mall security guard watched on from afar.
Two thieves were seen on camera stealing high-end purses from a Louis Vuitton location in Westchester.
People in the store attempted to stop the two suspects from grabbing the high-end purses but failed.
Amid the theft which took place last month, one man was filmed pacing out of the high-end shop with two handbags. While the other male suspect had his escape pretty rough as people had tried to wrestle away the expensive purses he was stealing. But ultimately, he walked from the store and breeze past the security guard with two bags in hand.

A man who appears to be a mall security guard is seen in the background, watching and not assisting.
Onlookers were shocked over the brazen shoplifting. According to another video shared to Twitter by former Westchester Country Executive Rob Astorino, a Republican candidate for governor, the mall was also the site of another theft Burberry, which saw two men fleeing the store cradling armfuls of merchandise.
One of the suspects had a rough escape from the mall as people tried to wrestle the expensive purses he stole.
Ultimately, he walked from the store and breeze past the security guard with two bags in hand.
At the moment, White Plains police have claimed they are investigating both thefts. In a Facebook post, the department didn’t, however, specify the exact dates the crimes were committed, and no arrests have been reported in either case. Similarly, Louis Vuitton’s parent company LVMH has refused to comment, but then the mall has condemned the thefts saying they have beefed up security in their wake.
Astorino shared another video from the mall showing a different theft incident at a Burberry location.
Same @TheWestchester mall, different day, different men. This time @Burberry was hit. Crime doesn’t just happen “in the city” or “somewhere else.” It’s getting worse everywhere in NY and everyone is affected when criminals are emboldened by soft-on-crime laws. https://t.co/qqfsMiXsSn pic.twitter.com/K8eX0Jmjpv

A spokesperson said: “The crime depicted in this video is unacceptable, and we are fully cooperating with the White Plains Police Department in their investigations. We have taken several additional steps to enhance further the security program at the Westchester, including adding White Plains police officers to patrol the property, increasing additional private security patrol, deploying specially trained K-9 patrols, among other measures.”
