Victoria’s Secret Finally Featured The First Model With Down Syndrome

Look at how far she’s come!

For the longest time, women believed that they had to look a certain way to be considered beautiful. But even Victoria’s Secret bows to the changes that we are making.

You can be born in any way and be sexy because check out their new ‘Love Cloud’ collection.

You’ve probably heard of Sofia Jirau when she made it to The New York Fashion Week back in February 2020.

She is among “18 dynamic women from a myriad of backgrounds” who are featured in the current collection.

With that, Sofía Jirau becomes the first-ever model with Down Syndrome that gets to pose for the lux brand!

She proudly shared the post and captioned it, “One day I dreamed of it, I worked on it, and today it is a dream come true. I can finally tell you my big secret.”

“I am the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down Syndrome!” she cheered! “There are no limits!”

It’s not an exaggeration to say that VS sucks when it comes to being inclusive and representing minorities.

If you still remember, their former chief marketing officer Ed Razek doesn’t “think we should” have trans models on the runway. “Well, why not?” he continued.

“Because the show is a fantasy. It’s a 42-minute entertainment special. That’s what it is,” his famous last words before the brand eventually got a trans model and saw him resign.

Next to Sofia were also remarkable models such as actress Miriam Blanco who loves telling stories…

…and an aspiring member of Nez Perce tribe from Lapwai, Idaho, a fire engine crew of her tribe.

We’re absolutely proud of this remarkable woman! She’s come so far!
