Trans Teacher Sparks Outrage By Wearing Giant Prosthetic Breasts in Class
“I think he’s going a little too far.”
A school teacher’s way of dressing prompted a discussion among school board members to consider implementing a dress code. Transgender teacher Kayla Lemieux has gone viral after she was filmed teaching her students with her huge prosthetic breasts dangling before her.
The tech teacher works at Oakville Trafalgar High School, an upscale residential neighborhood, and may have spent $1000 on her prosthetics.
Parents were angry at the way she dressed for her classes, demanding that the School Board do something about it. Halton District School Board has told them that they cannot do anything with Human Rights Code protecting the teacher’s rights.
Some students, however, have also supported the move to stop her acts. A small protest outside the school held a sign that read, “This is a school, not a circus. We just want to learn.
And now, the school board is considering implementing a dress code that stems from Kayla’s excessively huge prosthetic breasts. The HDSB “recognizes the rights of students, staff, parents/guardians and community members to equitable treatment without discrimination based upon gender identity and gender expression,” per a statement they released.
One befuddled student spoke during the protest, “It’s so crazy that nobody is doing anything.”
Lemieux was not named, but trustee Tracey Ehl Harrison spoke of the messages she’s received regarding a teacher’s appearance. She explained, “Some of them have been quite nasty from groups from far beyond the borders of Canada, described as hate groups. So it has been an interesting time, to say the least.”
A protester yelled at the crowd in front of the school that grew to over a hundred people after the bell rang, “What are we doing to our children to allow this?” and blasted the Human Rights’ Code for protecting “a man who dresses up as a woman who has size Z fetish fake b**bs.”
HDSB director of education Curtis Ennis doubled down that they’re obligated to protect the teacher per the code from any verbal attacks. He spoke, “As you are aware, a school in the Halton District School Board has received significant attention online in the news over the past several days.”
“Guided by our commitment in the multi-year strategic plan and our commitment to the human rights equity action accountability plan, The Way Forward, the Halton District School Board has aimed to handle this attention in a way that stays true to our values, respects the privacy and dignity of our students and staff, and with the safety and wellbeing of students and staff as our highest priority.”
“As staff we are guided by numerous legislation and also fundamentally by the privacy and confidentiality of each of our 10,000 employees. While I understand the desire for information by the public, we will not and cannot publicly discuss any matter that identifies our staff directly or indirectly. I trust the public will understand the parameters that guide us.”
But some students and parents remain unperturbed by her appearance, with one student saying, “I’m okay with it.”
“I know some of my friends are a little uncomfortable with it, but I think she should be able to express herself however she wants to,” the student continued.
Another shared, “I don’t really hear anyone talking about it. I think, maybe, we don’t care about that.”
While a parent shared that she’s okay with the teacher being a trans woman, she thought the prosthetics being so massive was too much. She shared, “I think he’s going a little too far. I think identifying himself is ok, but I think that just wearing that in the classroom… I still have concerns over that.”
