Somnio has finally been revealed to the world, offering luxurious living space for only the selected few of the richest in the world. Somnio, a name derived from the Latin expression “to dream,” is also called the first “Yacht Liner” and aims to be considered one of the gorgeous superyachts in the world.
The ship is launching in 2024 and offers only 39 ultra-luxury apartments to create an “intimate community.”
It is given the title the first “Yacht Liner” and is over 222m (728ft) long.
The luxurious space resulted from a collab between Winch Design from London and Sweden’s Tillberg Design.
Captain Erik Bredhe, Somnio’s co-founder, said, “Somnio will be the only residential superyacht in the world and has been designed to exacting standards that are commensurate with a life of opportunity.”
“Owners will share a truly unique lifestyle at sea, with a hand-picked crew and a never-ending global itinerary of carefully selected destinations and experiences befitting a yacht of this nature.”
The fully customizable apartments are available starting from $11.2million and are spread over six decks.
Future residents are also offered state-of-the-art amenities, from wine tasting service to land-based concierge. As if understanding the way our world is changing rapidly, Somnio also addresses that concern, “World-class medical care will also be available onboard, providing apartment owners with the highest level of safety away from pandemics and other global risks.”
The Yacht Liner will embark on slow travel around the world once all its residents are onboard.
Scientists and marine experts are also welcomed with advanced research equipment.
The Yacht Liner and its residential area are currently being constructed by Italian firm Vard in Norway. All 39 apartments will be sold only through referrals and invitations from Somnio.
