‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ Seriously Faced One As ‘Joker’ Continues To Rise

The dark horse people didn’t expect.

‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ offshore releases have grossed and fallen short of Disney expectations. Its US debut has earned $10.6 million on Friday, peaked slightly on Saturday at $11 million and dropped to less than $7.5 million on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Todd Phillips’ controversial biography takes on ‘Joker’ opened at $39 million on October 4th and almost hit $6 million last Saturday. It’s current worldwide earning is closing into $1 billion with a total earning at $934 million.

‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ continues on its stagnant position, grossing $5.8 million top last Saturday and a total of $380 million worldwide.

Despite ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ being produced by the original creator, James Cameron and directed by ‘Deadpool’ helmet Tim Miller, it couldn’t leverage the franchise any higher than it could. Perhaps the previous disappointments have plagued the movie way too heavily. Despite that, the movie’s ratings have been rather positive at 85% for its audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

James Cameron had all his original stars joined the franchise back – Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger are back to reprise the same roles. In addition, 32-year-old Canadian Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta are also cast.
