Taika Waititi has a lot in his schedules. After finishing with ‘Jojo Rabbit’ which was quickly hailed as an Oscar nominee and award contender, his next anticipated projects are ‘Thor 4’ and an unrevealed part in ‘The Suicide Squad’ by James Gunn.
Waititi is now executive producing ‘Night Raiders’ which is directed by Danis Goulet. It stars Amanda Plummer, Elle-Maija Tailfeathers, Alex Tarrant, Brooklyn Letexier-Hart and Shaun Sipos.
The dystopian film is currently being shot around Toronto. Summary of the plot reads:
“The near future. A military occupation controls disenfranchised cities in post-war North America. Children are the property of the State. A desperate Cree woman joins an underground band of vigilantes to infiltrate a State children’s academy and get her daughter back.”
On her editorial debut, the movie is also produced by Tara Woodbury, Paul Barkin, Ainsley Gardiner, Georgina Condor and Chelsea Winstanley. Production companies like Alcina Pictures, Uno Bravo & Miss Conception Films are also backing it.
Taika Waititi is most recently remembered for his successful wild take on ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and satire take on Nazi of ‘Jojo Rabit’.
