‘Star Trek’ Sequel Back On Track With ‘Fargo’ Director Noah Hawley
Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and more will also return.
‘Star Trek’ has been quiet for the past 3 years on its original movies. Its third movie, ‘Star Trek Beyond’ was directed by Justin Lim and produced by J. J. Abrams, who had a role as well as directed the two previous movies. Now, Noah Hawley from ‘Fargo’ and ‘Legion’ is said to be in final talks to direct the sequel.
Talks on the fourth movie have existed since before and were finally confirmed in 2016. Chris Hemsworth has been said to be returning for his role as James T. Kirk’s father. Chris Pine is also said to be returning for the role, but 3 years is a long time and things change.
The Wrap confirms that Chris Pine will be back on board and Paramount is still choosing between three scripts. Others like Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban are also said to return to reprise their roles in the movie.
This isn’t the only rumor on ‘Star Trek’ – since 2017, Quentin Tarantino has been said to be helming an R-rated spin-off of the series.
