Model Sophia Hadjipanteli has become a familiar name to many. But she’s different from your typical cover girl when it comes to what makes her famous. She’s well-known for never letter a single blade touch any part of her body as she rocked them with the kind of confidence you don’t often see. Her monobrow is especially eye-catching.
Sophia was born on May 25, 1997. She’s a 25-year-old model from Cyprus and embraces the iconic middle-eastern feature of a monobrow.
One can safely say that Sophia challenged the beauty standard of this world as she appeared on the cover of some of the most prestigious magazines on this planet.
When asked about her role model, Sophia didn’t hesitate to answer her mom, praising her as her source of inspiration in life.
Sophia’s mother was someone who made sure Sophia was always motivated in life to explore new things.
In an interview with The Great Frog, she shared about her mom, “She not only accepted me at every single “phase” in my life, but she ENCOURAGED me to try new things, to live my life outside the box, and to never stop being myself.”
“No one in my life has ever taught me such an unconditional love for the “different,” the “unique,” or the “special” things we face in our life.”
As a teen, Sophia experienced a lot of bullying online and was not accepted in high school. But her mother’s upbringing proved to be worthwhile as she didn’t let any of that get to her.
She made it to the cover of Glamour UK and spoke about it, “It’s especially satisfying to know that that big unibrow is on the cover of Glamour UK, and it looks great.”
She continued, “If I want to be out there and really expressive and be myself, I get to wear whatever I want, and I get to embrace the unibrow — and if I don’t, I can always tone it down. But it’s always my decision — and I think that’s why a lot of people follow me because I’m just myself, and I’m not really influenced by what everybody else is telling me to do.”
She’s started the Unibrow Movement, encouraging people who sport unibrow to embrace it and use the hashtag on social media.
She’s become a role model to many and continues to encourage others to love themselves regardless of how they look.
“It is a process. Not everyone feels 100% every single day, and that is totally okay. It starts inside, though!” said the model. “You could be the most’ perfect’ person in the world, but if you don’t see it with your own eyes, you’ll never feel that love for yourself. It takes time to build that relationship with yourself, but once you do, everything just feels so much better. You feel free.”
